My son is four next week.  And every day, dozens of times some days, he sings “It’s the Best Day Eeev-errr!!!!”  Over and over and over.

And somehow, for him, it is.  I think he means it everytime.  I can learn alot from Levi – whose enthusiasm for life, and charasmatic spirit are a constant reminder to delight in each day.

Some days I am excited to hop out of bed – like Christmas, or those days where I wake up to Florida sunlight (thank you Heather!)  But alot of days, I stare at the clock, and mentally grumble about the kids waking up at 6:30 again.  It is not the best day ever.

But it should be.  We are commanded to delight in the Lord.  The Lord loves a cheerful giver.  Whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.  In everything give thanks.  And so, today should be the best day ever.  So should tomorrow.  Even if the kids are sick, and the sink is full of crusty dishes.  Even if the headache from two weeks ago is lingering…  Delight, give thanks, and sing with Sponge Bob and Levi “Its the best day Eeeev-eeer!”
