Level #1: I am thankful for apostasy --- because of it, the true church of God has been forced to clearly articulate doctrine and stand more firmly and passionately upon it. Level #2: I believe there are two aspects of God's glory. The first is instrinsic to his nature --- it never changes. God is who He is and nothing that is accomplished or not accomplished upon this earth can or will change his intrinsic glory. The second is the earthly manifestation of his glory --- in this age, God's glory is reflected most excellently when his children obey (or in Piper language, "are satisfied in him").Thus, the entire goal of Paul's life was to magnify Christ (Phil. 1:20)--- do all to the glory of God (1 Cor. 10:31). There are going to be times that the reflection of God's glory upon the earth is marred. However, in the eschaton, God will be completely glorified when the elect are completely gathered AND when the unregenerate are judged (Rev. 21). Is God completely glrorified right now? As the author of Hebrews says, "we do not yet see everything in subjection to him." The better question is, "is he glorified in my life?" Just my thoughts... Verity,

Both the documents have been very carefully worded to express solidarity without getting into matters of theology. These are both documents about love and are not about the nature of God nor do they (on either side) compromise in any way the beliefs of Judaism, Christianity or Islam.
